| Theo van Doesburg, Design for the central hall of a university Art, Archaeology and Architecture (Erich Lessing Culture and Fine Arts Archives) |
This artwork for Theo van Doesburg. It present axonometric
projection, it has the advantage of translating space in such a way that the
changes of scale inevitable in linear perspective in- in the way that a thing
in the distance appears smaller than a thing close at hand are -are eliminated.
All lines remain parallel rather than receding to a common vanishing point and
all sides of the object are at an angel to the picture plane.
