Video is cheaper than film and more immediate that’s
simultaneously seen on the monitor Nam June Paik’s video installations explore
the limits and defining characteristics of the medium. “altered TVs” displayed
images altered by magnets combined with video feedback and other technologies
that produce shifted patterns of shape and color.
