Charles Ephraim Burchfield (April 9, 1893 - January 10, 1967) was an American painter and visionary artist, known for his passionate watercolors of nature scenes and townscapes.

Oil paint is a type of slow-drying paint that consists of particles of pigment suspended in a drying oil, commonly linseed oil. One of the most popular artists who used this type of painting is Vincent Willem van Gogh (March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist painter whose work, notable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty and bold color, had a far-reaching influence on 20th-century art. Due to his mental illness he stayed in a hospital, during his stay, the clinic and its garden became the main subjects of his paintings. He was allowed short supervised walks, which led to paintings of cypresses and olive trees.

Adam and Eve

Albrecht Dürer, was a German painter, engraver, printmaker, mathematician, and theorist from Nuremberg. His vast body of work includes altarpieces and religious works, numerous portraits and self-portraits, and copper engravings. Between 1507 and 1511 Dürer worked on some of his most celebrated paintings: Adam and Eve (1507) After he was held by the Venetians, Dürer returned to Nuremberg by mid-1507, remaining in Germany until 1520. His reputation had spread throughout Europe and he was on friendly terms and in communication with most of the major artists including Raphael, mainly through Lorenzo di Credi — Leonardo da Vinci.

Emil Nolde (7 August 1867 – 13 April 1956) was a German painter and printmaker

Nolde's intense preoccupation with the subject of flowers reflect his continuing interest in the art of Vincent Van Gogh. His most important print, The Prophet (1912), is an icon of 20th-century art. Between 1884 and 1891, he studied to become a carver and illustrator in Flensburg. He spent his years of travel in Munich, Karlsruhe and Berlin.

Texture is the word we use to describe the work of art’s ability to call forth certain tactile sensations and feeling. In Manuel Neri’s bronze sculpture from the Mujer Pegada Series, we can see texture contrast. The actual texture of the bronze is booth smooth where it implies the texture of skin and rough where it indicates the unfinished quality of the work. My vision, the sculptural represent how the artist think of women.

Most viewers react instinctively to the expressive qualities of line and these expressive qualities are closely associated with their orientation in the composition. Seurat, Georges-Pierre in his drawing, The Stone Breaker illustrates the continuation concept. First I looked at the tool in the man’s hand and then my eyes went down to the stones and after that comes the carriage that carry the stones. At the end I started looking at the background and the details.
