Artists employ emphasis in order to draw the viewers attention to one area of the work. Artists refer to this area as the focal point of the composition. A smoker in Geroges de la Tour’s drawing, we see the focal point is the smoker face where the light is so bright. The second focal point is the smoker’s hand holding the match and the third one is his sleeves
